I worked with Craig at Hansen Chiropractic. I always looked forward to the mornings that Craig was there. He brought life to the office. I remember wanting to know what happened to his arm but was too shy to ask him or didn't know if it would hurt his feelings. I think he saw the curiosity in my face and he asked me one day if I wanted to know what happened. I said sure. He said he just always really wanted to be a pirate. He always had a way with people and making anybody laugh. He, of course, told me what really happened.
I was so amazed at how he always wanted to do things for himself. I remember asking one day in the office who wrote something on a patient's chart because I couldn't read it. I felt so bad when I found out it was Craig because I know he'd been working really hard on writing with his left hand. He just laughed it off and told me not to worry about it and he promised to improve his handwriting for me :) He was so funny like that every day.
Craig also was very passionate about discussing the church and his thoughts and feelings on talks recently given by leaders. He was such an inspiration. I always tried not to stare but I was so amazed at how he managed so well with everything and never ever played the victim.
Another thing that stands out to me is how great he was with all the kids in the chiropractic office. He was so gifted. He loved the children so much and it was sweet to see him play with them and calm them down when they were upset. Craig was a genuinely sweet, loving guy and I will miss him so much until we see him again.
