Craig was my drum major my junior year. It was my first year in marching band and at times it was really rough. One of the things that kept me going was his smile and enthusiasm. It didn't matter how long we were out there in the sun working he always had a smile and a word of encouragement. His energy was contagious. You knew he was just as tired as you were, perhaps even more so, yet he still was excited to be there.
He drew the best out of you, just by doing his own best. I admired him for the effort he put in and the attitude he carried with him. Although I lost track of him after he graduated, he has always been a source of inspiration and someone I looked up to. I was deeply saddened to hear about his death. He will be greatly missed and the world is a little bit poorer because he is gone.
