Back when we were pretty young Craig had a little bit of a crush on me and he would ride past my house on his bike in the summer time with his friend. Secretly, I loved it and I spent A LOT of time out in my front yard during the summer just waiting for him to ride by. He made me feel pretty special.
As I got to know Craig in High School and we became friends I found that he had ways of making everyone feel special. What a great guy. Always smiling and joking, he was so much fun to be around.
Another memory I have of Craig was in High School. My Seminary class was having a challenge to read the Book of Mormon in one month. I was almost finished and was trying to finish during the last minutes of our history class (the period before Seminary). I had my Book of Mormon under my desk and was trying to be discreet because I was a little embarrassed someone would see. Craig came up to me after class and said, "I saw you reading your scriptures during class....HOW COOL!" I loved how Craig could make me feel good for doing what was right and even make it "cool." What a great guy.
