We were lucky enough to get to know Craig through the WJHS marching band. In our several years with the band staff, we had a chance to work with and get to know many incredible students. As it was then and in our memories years later Craig stood out as something special. He was always eager and willing to help in any way. He had that warm squinting smile and could put just about anyone at ease almost instantly. He was a natural leader and made a fantastic drum major. We have posted some photos from his time as drum major to the facebook group set up for him.

We last saw him at a band alumni get together last August. It was the first we had heard or seen him with his prosthetic, but it was quite evident he wouldn't let even that change his outlook on life.
