Craig was always a really cool guy. I remember in about 9th grade while attending Joel P. Jenson, Craig and I (Jared Zarogoza) were partners for a Culture Fair project. We were suppose to research a foreign country, and do a report on it. I remember we chose to do our report on the Philippines, because Craig's sister Joanne just returned from serving a mission there. We researched the Philippines and compiled interesting facts about the country, thanks to his sister. Craig and I were successful on our project. We chose to use hot dogs, instead of actual dogs as our food to display at our display table. We also borrowed some of Joanne's things from her mission for our display. I remember Craig's sister was struggling with driving since I think she said she hadn't driven in 18 months while in the Philippines. I went to the Philippines while in the Marines, and it reminded me of the project Craig and I did together.
Craig was always very kind, and I looked up to him. I am LDS, but Craig was the type of guy, I would want to be like. He was always an example to me, by the way he lived his life, and by the way he treated people. I know Craig has a spot set aside for him in the Celestial kingdom. He will continue to do great things on the other side. I miss him. It's sad to see him go. My heart goes out to the Deckers.
